DLF Public School celebrated the 70th Independence Day in a unique way on August 13, 2016. DLF Public School celebrated this Day with great splendor, joy and respect for Mother India at its Darbari Lal auditorium. The patriotic performances by the guests of honor, Mr. Vishal Srivastava and Mr. Manjot Singh and launch of school’s online streaming channel made the celebration one of its kind.
The celebrations to mark this Day commenced with patriotic singing and dance performances by Delfites, and an inspirational speech on ‘How We Could Gain Freedom from Support’ by the school’s Chairman, Mr. Rakesh Khullar. The Chairman urged the students to fight with their minds. The entire programme was screened live on the school’s newly launched online streaming channel – delfitestv.com
Young talents who have made their mark in the Indian film industry with their hard work were invited to be a part of the event and inspire students with their performance and motivational success stories. Incredible Playback Singer, Mr. Vishal Srivastava stunned the audience with his beautiful voice, and Versatile Bollywood actor, Manjot Singh kept the audience fully engaged with his funny acts on stage. In addition to this, ex-Delfites – Tejas Kapahi and Tejan Kapahi released the trailer of their upcoming mysterious movie – Room Locked and encouraged the students to be the artist of their own life. These young role models embodied the essence of what the school stands for.
Towards the end of the celebration, School Principal, Ms. Seema Jerath congratulated the representatives of Young India who had begun small but were making continuous improvement and working towards their big finales. Through her speech, Ms. Jerath instilled in her students the thought that they can discover themselves and become great, independent Indians by following their passion and dreams.
