Sixth Wheel of Friendship strengthens at DLF Public School
DLF Public School culminated the Indo-Russian Wheel of Friendship programme in its 6th Round of Student Exchange Program by hosting a group of 13 students and 2 teachers from Russia. Students and teachers of DLF Public School welcomed their Russian buddies from April 1 – April 14, 2017. Russian Buddies were engaged in experiential learning about the culture and education system of India. They were also invited by the Russian Cultural Center which recently celebrated 70th Year of Indo-Russian friendship.
Russian Students were very much impressed with Indian art & culture. They commendably performed Indian dance and Yoga at a special event ‘Shubhakanksha..Russian Buddies at DLF Public School’ and decided to make Yoga as part of their life. They also expressed their gratitude for the love and affection received from their host family. Russian Principal Ms. Eliana addressed the audience with a touching note that ‘Each time she visits India she finds it different like Raj Kachori with all the flavours’.An overwhelmed host parent commented, ‘Initially I was apprehensive about this programme but now I really want to thank DLF Public school for giving us an opportunity to host a Russian buddy’.
Executive Director, Dr. Mrignaini appreciated and thanked the host parents for their continuous ever-growing support to make this program a success! Principal Seema Jerath motivated students to identify their inner strength and achieve their goals while narrating the story of world renowned Player Michael Jordan. The event concluded with both the schools committing to engage in comparative study on ‘Mitigating Climate Change using Non-Conventional Sources of Energy.’
