An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory.
To inculcate the habit of healthy eating among students, a Salad Making Activity was held at DLF this September 2017. Kindergarteners participated in the activity and prepared Russian Salad using commonly available ingredients.
The objective of the activity was to emphasize the importance of including a salad in our regular diet for maintaining good health and keeping diseases at bay.
The focus of the activity was not only the preparation of salads but was also on learning a cross-cultural dish using their artistic presentation skills. Some of the students were very creative in decorating their salad. The salad making activity proved to be a great fun and learning experience for the students. It was a delight to see the young chefs’ culinary skills!
