DLF Public School saw a packed auditorium on April 2, 2016 while it conducted its 21st Parent Induction Programme. More than 300 new parents were warmly welcomed through this orientation programme aptly titled ‘Partners in Education’. The programme aims at sharing its educational methodology, learning process, learning environment and the knowledge resources that the school makes available to ensure a wholesome exposure that is mapped according to the needs of the 21st Century.
With the aim of familiarizing new parents with the school’s philosophy and educational technology, Dr Mrignaini, the Executive Director of the School shared the exhilarating journey of this institution over the years. She encouraged the parents to spend quality time with their children and shared how thinking skills and language skills have become an integral part for today’s global student. She further emphasized on reading as a regular practice for an effortless process of a positive child development.
Principal Mrs. Seema Jerath ventured on the thought that children are a gift of nature and nature can never go wrong. She brought forth the educational perspective of the school while sharing hands on approaches with parents on building learning experiences at home as a reciprocal to the learning at school.
The orientation programme spelled success as the Kindergarteners shared their day-to-day learning activities with the new parents. Many parents and grandparents proactively opted as volunteers to contribute to the various ongoing school programmes which closely involves and nurtures the home-school relationship. Parents shared their feeling of contentment with respect to the development, care and security of their child, post the interactive session!
