DLF Public School Celebrates the Joy of Motherhood
Mothers and Tiny Delfites Walk the Ramp in Self-Created Costumes!
“Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations that draws outstanding outcomes” is how Principal Seema Jerath of DLF Public School described the out-of-the-box talent show by the mothers of the kindergartners at the ‘Moms Got Talent’- Dress to Impress Contest.
As a salute to the colossal cauldron of responsibilities that a mother undertakes to make their child the best; the Pre-Primary Team at DLF Public School headed by coordinator Ms. Anju Khanna, stole a few moments on Friday, May 13, 2016 to make these mothers feel special. Mr. Rakesh Marqus, Regional Head – CFC Smile Foundation and Ms. Gloria Paul – Assistant Director, CFC Smile Foundation graced the occasion as the Special Guest and the Judges of the Day.
71 Mothers and their little ones walked the ramp and participated whole-heartedly in this one-of-a-kind. Mothers got a chance to share and showcase the oodles of creativity and charisma that they all embody. The DLF Public School Ramp was radiant and alive with beautifully designed costumes and innovatively crafted accessories – all created with waste material. It was an on-the-spot creation and presentation and the mothers had a great time decorating their kids and themselves for the contest. A number of engaging activities were organized to pep-up the environment and some heart-touching and soulful songs were sung by the mother teachers as a tribute to all mothers, which created a nostalgic environment.
The encouraging presence of Principal Ms. Seema Jerath worked as a catalyst in further uplifting the spirits of the mothers and the teachers. She applauded the lovely and vibrant mothers for their vivacious enthusiasm and complimented the mothers ‘for being who you are and for doing what you do…’ and thanked them ‘for creating life-long memories’! Ms. Seema Jerath also reminded the mothers of many other children in our country who need similar care and security. As she has been working in close coordination with the NGO – GOONJ, she extended an appeal to the mothers to donate for the drought affected regions in our country as one of the current initiatives being conducted by them.
The event came to a grand closing with the winners and runners-up being titled and crowned! The first position was bagged by the innovative Eco-friendly Barbie Doll -Kashvi Virmani(KG) followed by first Runner-Up Krishna Gupta(KG) and 2nd Runner-Up Amaira Kapoor(Nur).
