Learning Beyond Boundaries with a trip to ItalyOctober, 2017
Hula hoops are so simple, but it’s often the simple things that make our kids the happiest. Of course, getting your hula hoop on is fun. It’s a versatile toy that can provide hours of entertainment. Hopping with two feet together is a gross motor skill most children learn around the age of three. It is an important skill, because it helps children have control over their body movements. By setting up intentional gross motor activity kindergartner’s mother teachers engaged young learners in activities using hula hoops through which they were able to control their movements and have control of their own personal space. With continuous encouragement and expansion they enjoyed jumping, climbing, skipping, throwing and catching. The activity was a big hit among all and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
