Climate change is now widely acknowledged as an urgent global challenge with implications for all countries. Developing countries will be most affected and least able to cope with the impacts of climate change, but rising global temperatures, increasing droughts and heavy rainfall will have immediate impacts around the world on food security, water management and health.High quality climate education is an essential point in dealing with changes in the environment, as it helps to find roots of this or that problem, analyze them and prevent future errors made by young generations.
At DLF our endeavour is to create socially responsible Global Citizens and the impact of our efforts was visible in the Inter Class Science Activity of Grade X. Defites of Grade X visited TERIGRAM along with their Russian Buddies during the Exchange Program to observe the various methods and sources of non-conventional sources of energy. Based on their observation they made individual models using non-conventional sources of energy. Class X F model of ‘Front Operational Base‘ a military base emerged as winner, ‘A Hi-Tech Smart City Model‘ of Class X A and ‘A Portable AC‘ of Class X B were on Second and Third position respectively. It was an amazing experience for everyone present leaving a food for thought ‘Climate change will affect us all, but you can take action today to build a more sustainable future’.
