Summer is a fantastic time for kids to learn about water through books and hands-on activities. Water is essential for life, yet we tend to take it for granted because it is generally so readily available. This September our enthusiastic Delfites of KG explored the water in different ways, including why it is important, the water cycle, and water in our homes. The school always encourages sustainable learning through experiential methods, hence using their knowledge and hand-on learning children were encouraged to make a collage on their understanding of water-cycle. Not only they explored the world of water through their self-created collage but they also honed their creativity using colours. Later, they also engaged in an activity of “lemonade making’ to understand the taste of water. There could not be a better way of teaching kids about water and water cycle.
