DLF Public School Welcomes New Parents as ‘Partners in Education’
The School warmly welcomed new parents on April 1, 2017 while it conducted its 23rd Parent Induction Programme aptly titled as ‘Partners in Education’. The programme apprised parents about educational methodology, learning process, learning environment and the knowledge resources that the school makes available to ensure a wholesome exposure that is mapped according to the needs of the 21st Century.
With the aim of familiarizing new parents with the school’s philosophy and educational technology, Dr. Mrignaini, the Executive Director of the School shared the exciting journey of the institution over the years. She encouraged the parents to spend quality time with their children and shared how thinking skills and language skills have become an integral part for today’s global student.
Principal Seema Jerath ventured on the thought that the parents should not make their children handicap by making their lives easy. She brought forth the educational perspective of the school while sharing hands on approaches with parents on building learning experiences at home as a reciprocal to the learning at school.
The orientation programme spelled success as the Kindergarteners shared their day-to-day learning activities with the new parents. Many parents and grandparents proactively opted as volunteers to contribute to the various ongoing school programmes which closely involves and nurtures the home-school relationship. Parents expressed their contentment with respect to the development, care, safety and security of their child, post the interactive session!
