DLPS - A Caring School
A School with a Soul
Every student’s birthday is celebrated with a ‘havan’ and a party … but not before sharing sweets with the less privileged children nurtured under the School‘ Apney Foundation’. ‘Smileys’ are offered to encourage good behavior and concern for others.
There are ‘I Did My Best’ badges to inspire students to improve further. ‘Gold Awards’ are given to those who improve upon their best performance. And a ‘Goodwill Piggy Bank’ keeps a deposit of notes put in by children who are actually helped by their friends! On the school’s heartwarming ‘Recognition Day’, every Delfite up to Class II is awarded for an outstanding achievement… for having special qualities of his or her own! A low teacher-student ratio in each class of 1:19 ensures an excellent level of personalized monitoring and interaction.
Having decided not to exceed its student strength of 2500, this happy school plans to grow too. But in a way that’s entirely our own… not in numbers, but in quality.
Celebration of Festivals
All festivals are celebrated together by the DLPS family so as to inculcate an understanding of the rich diversity of Indian Culture as well as to encourage and appreciate each others’ religion. Various programmes are organized by the school to promote the feeling of affinity and kinship amongst the Delfites.
Celebration of Significant Days
Along with the festivals, Delfites learn and celebrate all the important international days like- World Earth Day/Hour, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, World Smile Day, World Dance day , Shakespeare Day, World Environment Day and more.
The Kindergarten also goes colorful and vibrant on various Days like- Blue/Yellow/Red Color days through a gamut of activities designed to render a better connectivity of the children with the rich spectrum of colors.
