On the heels of its outstanding CBSE results, DLF Public School has more reason to celebrate with 14 out of 16 of its Class XII students qualifying in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Abhishek Kant and Shreya Prashant were among the top scorers from the School’s band of fourteen achievers.
The exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 6 for admission to the MBBS and BDS courses in colleges run with the approval of the Medical Council of India and the Dental Council of India. Over 13 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.
Student Vidhi Singhal who also qualified in the NEET and who had recently secured an exemplary score of 88.25% in the Class XII CBSE Board Exams in the Special Needs Category – she is currently battling with Uveitis which causes partial blindness – stated, ‘I started studying Biology as I always aspired to be a doctor. I am delighted to have made it.’
DLF Public School Principal Seema Jerath, expressing her joy on the commendable performance by the students remarked, ‘I am happy that we at DLF Public School have been successful in making our students sufficiently empowered to want to join the Medical profession and be able to give to society more than what they take from it.’
