DLPS, Sahibabad is hosting the British Council Education Quality Improvement Pathways for Schools (EQUIPS) Mid Project Review on January 24 and 25, 2014. Nearly 80 teachers from private Schools in Delhi and NCR along with Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas from Uttar Pradesh as, Ghaziabad,Bulandshahr,Lakhawati,Razapur, Gulaoti attended this meeting. EQUIPS is a pilot project of the British Council (a cultural relations organization of the UK) where 8 select schools from Delhi & NCR are acting as Mentors to 32 Kasturbha Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas from Uttar Pradesh.
The project aims at hand holding the KGBV schools to better the education processes within these schools through three interesting projects: 100 words: Where school girls are learning to communicate in English, Global Citizenship: Where they are learning about the other countries; and School Enterprise: Where they are learning to set up an Enterprise in their own School and are acquiring business and leadership skills to become self-reliant and self-dependent. Mentor schools are acting as facilitators and are creasing out any learning difficulties/hurdles to smoothen the execution of the projects.
All mentor schools, KGBV schools and delegates from the British Council came together to review the progress of the project so far and assess the future plans.
