DLPS Family Felicitates Principal Seema Jerath
The DLPS Family stood proud of Principal Seema Jerath and celebrated the honour of receiving the most coveted National Award to Teachers 2012 from Sh. Pranab Mukherjee, the Hon’ble President of India, during the Felicitation Ceremony organized at the Darbari Lal Auditorium on September 21, 2013. Shri Santosh Yadav, Vice-Chairman, Ghaziabad Development Authority along with the School Chairman, Dr. Rakesh Khullar presented her a Citation in recognition of her distinguished contribution to the field of education.
Delfites in their own way expressed their love and gratitude to their dear Principal through song and dance presentations. They even shared how Mrs. Jerath has always welcomed and appreciated their initiatives and ideas and continually encouraged them to innovate and think out of the box.
Dr. Mrignaini, Director, DLPS, recognized her untiring passionate efforts towards bettering school processes as well as her engagement in unique experiments to improve the quality of education. She appreciated her ever positive outlook and her ability to turn impossible into possible.
Right from being a Primary teacher to being the School Principal, Mrs. Jerath has enjoyed and learnt at every step. She believes that the very aim of education is flowering of individuals. She seeks the genius within every child and at the same time makes sure that no child is left behind!
Her efforts have made DLPS… a School with a soul… where being ‘Good’ is more important than just being ‘Smart’ and where the complete definition of success is ‘to have the ability to give back more to society than you take from it’.
Mrs. Jerath is intuitively a teacher and has positively influenced the mindsets and attitude of teachers. Her whole life is dedicated to the bettering of education processes so that schools are able to give to society caring, courageous and responsible human beings who are able to make a difference to the world around them.
“What makes her a great teacher is her love for books. You name any book and it is 99% sure that she has either read the book or has it in her Library. She equally shares her love for books with her students and teachers”, Said the School Chairman, Dr. Rakesh Khullar.
