July 20, 2013, DLPS, Sahibabad: The CBSE Parent Advocacy Programme on CCE was organized in collaboration with CBSE and National Progressive School Conference (NPSC) at the Darbari Lal Auditorium, DLPS, Sahibabad. It was an opportunity for parents to have a direct interface with Mr. Vineet Joshi, Chairman CBSE and Dr. Sadhana Parashar, Professor & Director (Research, Academics, Training & Innovation) CBSE. Numerous queries of parents and schools, pertaining to various aspects of CCE, were also addressed by Mr. Joshi during the programme.
As many as 500 Change Agents i.e. parents, teachers and School Principals from 60 Schools across Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida were present at this grand advocacy programme along with Executive Council of NPSC and Members of Sahodaya School Complex, Ghaziabad Chapter. The programme was aimed at the capacity building of schools on CCE as well as to enable them create Parent Advocates for CCE for CBSE. With the CCE initiative entering its fourth session successfully, the programme also apprised all the stakeholders with its latest updates and reforms.
The spirited reforms and the wave of change brought in by CCE were staged through a splendid self composed musical presentation by students of DLPS.
Mr. Joshi also inaugurated the DLPS Thots Lab; one of the recent novel initiatives at DLPS to develop higher order thinking skills from primary years of schooling.
