The visionary behind the progress of the school — Chairman: Dr. Rakesh Khullar has been gifted with his father’s Sh. Darbari Lal’s sharp mind and keen intellect. An active environmentalist as he is, he initiated various environmental projects including Tree Plantation in Ghaziabad under the ‘Clean Green Ghaziabad’ venture, a DLPS resolution in the new millennium. He has also set up the Apney Charitable Foundation and is always glad to share the school infrastructure, campus and other facilities with the under-privileged. A Graduate from Hans Raj College, Delhi, Dr. Khullar is a Chartered Accountant by profession from I.C.A.I., New Delhi. He is also a member of DAV College Management Trust that manages DAV Institutions all over India. He has also to his credit Doctor of Literature (Honors Causa) by Medicina Alternativa (affiliated with) The International Open University at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. An avid sportsman himself, Dr. Khullar is the Chairman of DLPS Sports Academy; he is the visionary and inspiration behind the swift progress of the Academy. He sports a positive attitude, even in the worst of situations and instills the same in others.
Executive Director Dr. Mrignaini has been the founder Principal of DLPS and presently, a futurist Executive Director whose enthusiasm, passion and warm guidance have placed the school amongst TOP 10 MOST RESPECTED SCHOOLS of INDIA(Ref. Education World Sep., 2012 issue). She is a doctorate in Polymer Chemistry and has published various research papers in leading international journals. She has evolved as a great educationist and thoughtful administrator providing competent leadership to the students and faculty in achieving their ideals. She is the great stabilizing force of the school and has established good practices in the multi dimensional school disciplines. She doesn’t just confine herself to have a vision, but also shares it and relentlessly drives it to completion. She has been central to shaping the school ideology with her tremendous sense of dedication and humanistic approach.She is a member of WCCI (World Council for Curriculum and Instruction) which is a world association of educators founded in 1971, USA and fosters intercultural – communication among educators & teachers worldwide.
Mrs. Seema is the Principal of DLPS, Sahibabad. She also holds esteemed positions as, the Vice-Chairperson of the Sahodaya School Complex, Ghaziabad Chapter and member of National Progressive School Conference. She has been the Master Trainer for CBSE for CCE and Master Trainer for CBSE Value Education Programme. She has been a Panellist at the CCE Round Table Conference, and at the 4th EDU Convex organized by University of Cambridge. She has also conducted Workshops for various school Principals and Educationists and conducted training programs for the British Council. She is also the British Council School Ambassador.
Mrs. Jerath is a guest faculty for B.ed at IGNOU and IP University. She has applied the principles of “learning by doing” to older students and even adults. She has also coordinated for the Early Education Development Programme (EEDP), which works to add fun to education and has been conducting teacher programmes for the last 20 years across India and abroad. She has authored 30 books for teachers, students and parents.
Seema Jerath believes that the very aim of education is the flowering of individuals. She is essentially a great educationist with a broad vision and a futuristic viewpoint on education. She seeks the genius within every child and at the same time makes sure that no child is left behind! Her whole life is dedicated to the bettering of education processes so that schools are able to give to society caring, courageous and responsible human beings who are able to make a difference to the world around them.
She has been conferred with prestigious awards as: National Award to Teachers 2012 by President of India, Lokmanilal Award for Lifetime Achievement’, Dr. Radha Krishnan Excellence Award 2012-13, Global Teacher Accreditation Award 2013 by Cambridge Education Foundation, UK and British Council.
The school functioning is ably assisted by various Coordinators administrating the various academic/cultural/sports/social activities in their respective wings and acting as bridge between the management and the rest of the staff. All the Coordinators are truly dedicated, empathetic and provide personal guidance and instructions to teachers and students ensuring smooth functioning of the school.
The Faculty at DLPS are well qualified and trained according to the requirements of the school.
