A Hindi Classroom – Learning Beyond Four Walls
200 enthusiastic Delfites of Class VIII presented a series of Street Plays based on social issues that plague the nation today, titled Hamara Abhiyan…. Desh Ka Uthaan. The Annual Hindi Month Prize Distribution Festival held on December 10, 2016, saw Delfites showcasing their creative, communicative and collaborative abilities. The children researched extensively on each presentation addressing issues of national concern while they also perfected the essential 21st Century 6 key skills—communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, citizenship and character building.
The parents and guests got a taste of how the school is driving students to become aware, useful and contributing members of society – engaging with a higher and greater good; the public interest. This annual event also promotes the learning of Hindi as an important language and a festival where every Delfite is celebrated.
Executive Director, Dr. Mrignaini shared the school’s achievements of the session 2016-17 while Principal Seema Jerath focused her address upon the right approach to deal with adolescence and thus build stronger parent-child relationships.
